I usually don't remember what happened during one of my emotional bouts... but people are only too happy to tell me!!! But you are right in that it is like an emotional cleansing. And of course, for whatever reasons, I was dead on right in whatever the situation!!! I also seem to have superhuman strength during these bouts - but something in me holds me back, as you said, for fear of hurting someone I love. My boyfriend is a recovering alcoholic and boy could he push buttons when he was under the influence (sober about 16 months now) - he is 6'4 and I am 5'1 and I could literally pick him up and throw him. There are times that I am almost sure I could/would have killed him if that inner voice had not stopped me. For that I am thankful!

Marsella, I'm a KS transplant living in Indianapolis, IN. NC is just fine. Where are you from in KS? I'm from Washington. It is about 75 miles west and north of Manhattan.
